- Youth may truly be wasted on the young -

I think the reason why twentysomethings are so

fixated on age is because we feel a pressure

to be a certain way at 23, at 25, at 29.

There are all of these invisible deadlines with

our careers and with love and drinking and drugs.

I can’t do coke at 25. I need to be in a LTR at

27. I can’t vomit from drinking at 26. I just can’t!

We feel so much guilt for essentially acting our age and making mistakes.

We’re obsessed with this idea of being

domesticated and having our shit together. It’s

kind of sad actually because I don’t think we

ever fully get a chance to enjoy our youth.

We’re so concerned about doing things “the

right way” that we lose any sense of pleasure

in doing things the wrong way.

Youth may be truly wasted on the young.

A quote that my girl BeiBadgirl told me the other night when I was questioning my direction in life. I can't think of a more accurate description of my current state of mind!

I was lucky enough to do the makeup for some styling shoots for two of my friends at whitehouse - Amy&floss (no space required). The luck came when I was able to turn my lens on two of the gorgeous models Milli and Jade.

It's been a while since I've posted some of my own work so here you go..

X - Proenza Perfection - X

I recently walked into a shop in Sydney and the most incredible coloured fabric I have ever seen caught my eye. As I stalked my prey I realised that it was a lace like I had never seen before... so intricately cut, it could only have been done by a laser. The design.. perfection. A floral pattern cut out of lace. So delicate yet so firm. To my (great) disappointment, I learned that the skirt was Proenza Schouler.. with a price tag to match. I walked out of the store crest fallen as I began to realise that a $4,000 skirt was not quite within reach of my budget. Alas! One day.. you will be mine.
